How to use clipart: Part Part Whole (chapter 3)
This chapter is about a very specific kind of matching. Feel free to mix up the clipart/theme ideas and skill ideas!
The Ideas
Idea #1: Rainbow Contractions
Clipart: Rainbow 2 + Cloud for the rainbow
Skill: Contractions
Notes: A rainbow is a beautiful way to do part part whole. You can use the rainbow theme for any of the skills in the ideas below.
Idea #2: Guacamole Part Part Whole
Clipart: Guacamole Cup + Chips
Skill: Part Part Whole/Number Bonds
Notes: This is my favorite idea for this chapter!
Idea #3: Carrot Farm Place Values
Clipart: Carrots – 2 in a row
Skill: Place Values/Part Part Whole
Notes: This is a variation of Idea #2.
Idea #4: Compound Words Matching Puzzles
Clipart: Matching Puzzles, Ice Cream Scoop + Ice Cream Cone
Skill: Compound Words
Notes: The matching puzzles work well enough by themselves without any added themes, but you can still add a theme if you want to.
Idea #5: Rainy Day Prefixes
Clipart: Dark Cloud + Raindrops
Skill: Prefixes
Notes: These are versatile, so they will work for matching centers, worksheets (also comes in BW), and digital resources.
Idea #6: Partly Cloudy Suffixes
Clipart: Cloud + Sun + Sun and Cloud
Skill: Suffixes
Notes: This works really nicely for suffixes with the sun behind the cloud, but you definitely can use it for other skills as well. You can also layer this yourself with clipart ideas.
How to Use Clipart
I have been thinking about how teachers use clipart for a long time now, so that my clipart can be really useful. And these chapters are the result of all that figuring out. Each chapter introduces a way of thinking about clipart to help you make the most of your purchases and grow your TpT store.
